FirstCol has a total commitment to quality, which includes the continual review and refinement of our Office and Management systems to maximise quality of our service.

We operate a rigorous recruitment process whereby all our candidates are interviewed by the Management, vetted to high CQC standards and have DBS disclosure at enhanced level.
We understand the importance of good training & discipline which is why all our staff undergo continuous professional development and training in-house to ensure that they deliver the highest quality of service to you. This mandatory training includes Health ∓ Safety, Manual Handling, Infection Control, Medication Management, Prevention and Management of Violence & Aggression, First Aid ∓ CPR, COSHH and general courtesy & ‘house-keeping’. In addition we ensure all our staff have attended the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults course.



We deliver tailor-made (service specific) training courses to ensure the service we provide meets our customer’s needs. (Links to relevant training pages) At FirstCol we are proud that we have 100% client retention. We are committed to customer satisfaction. To that end we operate an established policy on complaints handling. This allows us to identify and investigate all formal and informal complaints and draw up actions to ensure we minimise further occurrence. Any necessary corrective actions are taken to improve the quality of our service.


At FirstCol Services, our Quality management system ensures the highest standards of quality in every aspect of our organisation and activities to ensure that our services are appropriate for our clients’ needs. We have a comprehensive self-assessment system, which requires that all our policies and work practices be audited at least annually to ensure that we maintain the high standards we have set. Any “non-conforming” area of activity is corrected and reviewed.
In addition to our own self-assessments, FirstCol Services has been subject to the inspection regime of the local offices of The Care Quality Commission which ensure that we are operating to relevant standards.
